From one English class to a movement
Hope for Women of Cambodia was started in 2013 by Sovannry and Sophorn. Nary grew up watching factory workers go to work every day, and after becoming a believer, God put it on her heart to reach out to them.
The ministry started with Nary teaching English to one girl and her friends. It has since grown into classes running Wednesday through Sunday, taught by a team of Cambodian believers who are themselves former garment workers.
The church, New Hope Fellowship, was born out of the evangelism program, where new believers are nurtured and discipled into their own faith.
